Opening In-House Worship Safely

Dear Fellowship Family,

We are pleased to announce we will start having in-house service this Sunday, May 31 at 10 am. Service will only be between 40 and 45 minutes. How exciting that we will be able to worship together and see each other’s faces again!  There are just a few guidelines we must abide by that we would like everyone to know.

1.     We ask that you always wear a mask when in the church building and around others.  We will have some masks available for those without one.

2.     Please bring your personal bible. We will Not provide the bibles and hymnals for public use.

3.     We will not be singing hymns but will provide other ways to bring music into our worship. We may be able to start singing in Phase 2.

4.     We will not be passing the offering plate, instead, an offering basket will be placed at the back of the sanctuary.

5.     If approved for in Phase 2 we will have Holy Communion on June 7th using the small disposable cups.

6.     When using the restroom please limit 2 people per time.  We will also have disinfectant spray and wipes available to help maintain a clean restroom.

7.     Hand sanitizer will be placed throughout the building for your use.

8.     Please ask yourself the following questions before returning to in-house worship:

-Have you been diagnosed with the COVID-19 virus?

-Has anyone in your household or close contacts been diagnosed with the COVID-19 virus?

-Do you have a cough?

-Do you have or have you had a fever in the last 24 hours?

If the answer is YES to any of these 4 questions, then you should NOT attend in-house worship.

For detail information on guidelines about re-entry we have included guidelines from the Louisiana conference website.

“Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves his child as well. This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands. In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.” (1 John 5:1-5)

We look forward to starting this new normal as we come out of quarantine. Feel free to call the church office if you have any questions.

Journey with you all in Christ,

Rev. Joseph
